Calida, my heart goes out to you and your Mom. After reading about your father's passing yesterday, my mind has been flooded with memories of our shared childhood days in Bayview. Those sticky, hot summer bicycle rides down caleche roads that felt they would never end; yet finally getting to your house to find your Dad piddling around in the garage with something or another. Your old house will always hold a permanent warmth in my heart. It always felt so alive when your father would be strumming his guitar in the "music room". I'm ever so grateful to carry these memories and feelings with me throughout my own journey of life. I hope you and your Mom can find solace and a million reasons to smile when you reflect on all the wonderful times you had with your Dad. Much love to you both!
