John was a wood worker, restoring historical sites in the Rio Grande Valley. And John wrote, played, and sang songs all around the Valley. His high-speed, high-octane life was well know, as was his heart of gold. He became known as John Harley after he hand his wife of 42 years, Sylvia, built and opened Harley's Country Store and Beer Garden in 2004. John pulled in standing-room only crowds with his upbeat and authentic country music. Winter Texans came back year after year as did the locals to dance to the music and to enjoy the old time Texas roadhouse. Everyone feels like family at Harley's. Harley's Beer Garden is located in Bayview, TX and is still operational today.
